Students have the right to request an amendment to their educational records they believe are misleading or inaccurate.
Which Records Cannot Be Amended?
This process may not be used to challenge a grade, opinion, or decision made by the university regarding the student.
How do I Amend a Record?
A student wants to amend a record should write the school official responsible for the record, clearly identify the part of the record the student wants to change, and specify why it should be changed.
If the university decides not to amend the record as requested, the student will be notified in writing of the decision and their right to a hearing regarding the request for amendment. Additional information regarding the hearing procedures will be provided to the student when notified of the right to a hearing.
