Staff Checklist for Requests for information

Before releasing information, make sure at least one of the following is true.

The information is considered public directory information and the student has not requested a FERPA restriction. information icon
The information is considered non-public directory information, the requester is a University Official or student, and the student has not requested a FERPA restriction. information icon
The student has provided written consent for release. information icon
The subject of the request is a current or past student.
Disclosure meets one of the exceptions to signed consent. information icon
The disclosure is required to supplement other information.
